February/March if they're aiming for a Holiday 2016 release. If not probably not until E3.

It might be a bit earlier, but they still are releasing star fox and other games for the wii u, it would be a horrible marketing move to announce the NX before then.
I think we will get a ton more leaks and know about it way before E3 though, allegedly they are showing it to Third Party developers next month in Vegas
E3 does seem kinda late tho if they are gearing for a holiday release (and that's definitely what they should do)
I hope they announce it in febuary
I'm just excited because I'm a Persona stan and the soundtrack sounds absolutely flawless from what I've heard of it so far. I'll have absolutely no problem sinking hours into it with these songs playing. I just hope the English dub doesn't ruin the feel of it
Persona 2's aesthetic interests me but idk something makes me not want it
Persona 2 is actually split into two parts, Innocent Sin and Eternal Punishment. EP is the only Persona game I've never played since it's not on the PS Store in Europe as far as I can tell and my laptop can't handle games. But I wouldn't recommend staring off with the early games since they were made for the PS1 and are kinda hard to play because of that. The story is good but everything else is meh.
Persona 3 and 4 are super mainstream and really easy to get into. I personally prefer 3 due to it being super depressing but 4 is equally as good. Each of these games takes me like 50-60 hours to complete the story so yeah, they're long games with a lot of dialogue but as long as you know how to play the game and some of the mechanics there is very little grinding in them unless you're playing at the hardest difficulty.
If you've got a Vita I'd say go with Persona 4 Golden, if not just wait for Persona 5 next year, which I'm sure you'll be able to since you don't seem very enthusiastic about it anyway. With games this long I wouldn't really want to convince you anyway since unless you really do want to play them you'll probably have a horrible time playing through them like the user above did
