Number 5's ponytail is iconic.
One of their best looks.

According to a report done by Entertainment Tonight, they revealed that Michele will be back for the second season as Hester. The outlet says creator Ryan Murphy initially planned for about four or five characters to reprise their roles. It is still unclear which other characters will remain on set but at least Michele has slipped that she will surely be back, to much as fans delight.
Referring to her role, Michele said, "We've talked about how she [Hester] then would unfold into another season." Her statements made fans speculate that she indirectly slipped preparations for season 2 even before there was official announcement for a renewal.
She also mentioned something about "killings" and how it would be a blast to see Hester and probably someone else from the cast killing another person in the upcoming season.
The details for season 2 are scarce just yet, but it is rumored that there would be new stars joining the team and Roberts will most likely return, too. The finale actually saved the show from the rest of the season after it suffered a setback by midseason.

Not Ryan now backtracking and telling us that the 4-5 "survivors" means 4-5 who will come back for next season and not 4-5 who remains alive
The complete lies on this article from "as fans delight" to "finale actually saved the show"
Also bye @ Emma's return being just "likely" Um, no one is already sure about S2, what makes them think getting rid of the star of the show is going to be good for them? It sounds like they're pushing it with Lea being the star of the show now

Okay I didn't like the last hour like most people, but the rest of the season was great. Overall I'd give this show a 7/10. It had the potential to be a 10/10 with a more concrete plot/ending, but a 7 isn't bad. So I'd say yes Scream Queens should be renewed for a second season.
There were a lot of great subtle scenes like this one that makes the show worth it.
My main problem with the ending is why did Ryan have Chanel defend Hester when Chad and his family were dragging her, only for Hester to still turn Chanel in? Why did Cathy not report Hester immediately after she fought off not 1, not 2, but three red devils? She knew Hester faked her transcript and she was the bathtub baby so..? And how did Cathy survive Grace and Chanel's death attempts? Why have Boone act gay only to reveal that he wasn't actually gay (plotwise, idgi that seemed like filler)?
I thought that the killer was Hester, Zayday or Wes. I figured for the perfect Whodunit moment it would be Zayday but alas. Also the playlist jokes with Wes were endearing. This show was okay, could have been better but not bad.

Well that's Ryan Murphy for you
But, I agree. His weakness (aside from plot development) has always been character growth, and if he ever does it, how many times does he stick to it? Zero percent of the time. I feel like he doesn't really plan the whole season, I mean he has a plan in mind but whatever he feels like for the moment he'll do it for that episode, it's really annoying because there are so many wasted opportunities to tie loose ends.
