The album actually completely changed this year, because in interviews now she says she started started making this album 8 months ago but she's done interviews last year about already having started and it sounded like a different album. I found this article-

On October 4th 2008 in an interview with All Music, Rihanna confirmed that she is currently in the studio working on her fourth studio album. She stated that.

“I’m currently working on record number four and I’m having so much fun. I’m having so many new experiences and meeting so many new people, it’s amazing”.

Rihanna also stated that the album will head in a more Techno Rock direction saying,

“I want this album to head in the same direction as Good Girl Gone Bad but with even more edge. The tracks will be less R&B influenced and will have a feel closer to that of, Disturbia, Shut Up & Drive and Breakin’ Dishes”."

I know there were a bunch of Grade-A material that didn't make the cut, as well as some high profile collaborations (Tyson Ritter, Ryan Tedder, Drake); I wouldn't mind a re-release, but not anytime soon. Drag this album to two years if they can, then BOW BOW WOW YIPPIE YOW!
