Ok so, I went to the Japanese restaurant I applied for yesterday for and there were already a bunch of employees, I even heard one of the 3 person who were in charge telling the HR lady who employed me something like, "Why did you tell that new employee to start working on the day we're opening without any training" . I mean, it's not my fault that they never called me to do anything earlier, I literally just followed the date given on the recommendation letter. They even almost ran out of uniform & apron for me to wear cause its like they didn't even know I would show up. So, I was told to stand next to the kitchen door and when the I hear the bell rings I'd be like "Hai!" and ran in there to bring the customer what they ordered, but instead of just me, there were 2 other employee standing there and whenever the bell rings it's like a contest to see who's the fastest to snatch the food. I was standing there not knowing what to do for literally an hour & my feet were hurting like hell. So, while me & the other 2 employees was standing there waiting for the food, I ask one of them if maybe we could switch and do take our orders one by one but one of the 3 managers were already yelling @ me before I could finish and she was like, "Stop chatting, you useless kiddo!". I felt awkward because it's their fault for hiring too much employees when the restaurant only has 22 tables, come on. Anyway, I was later told to just stand by the front door when it's already around 10 to say Thank You to the customers when they leave and that's pretty much it.
Later that day, when everyone's shift was over and it was already late, I had to stay again for a bit for this girl to tutor me on some basic Japanese phrases I'd be using because somehow we're not allowed to say those phrases in our native language . At first it was ok, until there's this phrase that has a silent sound, so I thought maybe it would be easier if I would just cross out the silent letter because that would be easier for me to learn & then out of sudden that girl threw a hissy fit & was being dramatic like, "OMG, ruuude, how dare you cross out my writings!!" . In my head, I was like "Bitch, it's not that serious", but I apologized and carried on, there was this phrase that means something like "I am so deeply sorry" & she told me to say the meaning again, I went with the simple "Sorry!" and she got mad again, I told her we're not in work-hour anymore and I'm just trying to make it quick & be informal but the bitch was like "You are so unprofessional blah blah, you should start being responsible & mature now, this is not America's Next Top Best Friend, etc, " and at that point I was already fuming so I gave her the nastiest "Alright!" I ever thought I could come up with & I can tell by her expression that she knew I just called her "Bitch!" indirectly, after that, session was over.
So, anyway to sum it up. I don't like that place, it's like they don't even need me there & the people there did too much on me, even though I've never worked anywhere before and it was my first day at work without any training at all. I can't stand having to remember a bunch of Japanese phrases to say whenever I need something either. I'd rather be frying fries in a McDonald's kitchen than working there so earlier today I called the HR lady again & told her bye bye.
The end.
