That doesn't matter in Brittany's case. The 100th biggest album in 2013 still did 276,000. Brittany Jean sold less than that in total

Her singles never did well in the US but WW they did, so that's a big reason. Some of her biggest songs like Oops and Toxic only peaked at 9 in the US.

And the sad part is that Janet had her own community honor her at an award show and she released a song with a platinum in actual sales not every rapper has that to be current.
