You can hurt me, I'll find another
You can love me, you'll be my lover
Happy, in rain or thunder
Baby I keep
I keep on, I keep on, I just keep on dancing
i actually dont even dislike Lorde, i dont know why i said that.. dont you hate when your opinion changes every three seconds.
I watched her set in Europe somewhere on youtube, maybe Glastornbury i forget.. but she was such a natural stage performer. Everyone immediately felt in tune with her and just rode thru the whole show with so much freedom
i dislike Lorde as well, but Magnets has grown on me so much...
"Never really felt bad about it" is SUCH a heavy and good way to open a song about sexual curiosity
The lyrics are so good on that song now that I take the time to type an opinion about it
"uh OH dancin past the point of no return"
It sounded like a Charli XCX song. Who came first: Sky or XCX?
Or is that like a chicken or the egg type of question?
Some of these black people crack me up with this selective anger at white artists.
First of all, this whole 'But what about Jill Scott? Jazmine Sullivan? Why Adele for Soul? Because she's white?' shtick is so ironic and stupid.
The black community doesn't support these artists themselves. The top sellers in the black community, the top ones on radio, and the top idolized stars are Drake / Beyonce / Future / Chris Brown / etc. The black community in general isn't supporting these Jill Scott's and Jazmine Sullivan's who are the bottom of even R&B charts.
So why are you expecting surban white communities to support black artists that the black community doesn't even support?
And let's not with this 'she has the success because she's white'. 90% of white stars wouldn't have their success as a person of color / minority. You think Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt would still have the same success black? Why are you particularly targeting one white person who's doing well currently to single out.

I agree with this. Although JT and Biebs are a bit sketchy tbh
Didn't Jazmine Sullivan's album sell better than 19 back in 2008?
Then Rolling In The Deep and Someone Like You happened
Adele has no hits in US during 2008. Jazmine actually got a few moderate hits.

1. Need U Bad - Jazmine Sullivan
2. Heaven Sent - Keyshia Cole
3. Take A Bow - Rihanna
4. A Milli - Lil Wayne
5. Put On - Young Jeezy Feat. Kanye West

5. Spotlight - Jennifer Hudson
R&B/Hip-Hop was still moving units and was mainstream back in 2008 in US.
Now mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop community doesn't support her since she's fell off. She's restricted to Urban AC, which is very limited (old black people).
I keep wanting to like Sky but so much of her material has been middling. The production on her album is so overbearing. The Ghost EP is a snooze too.
I can't seem to find a trace of the first EP she made, though. The one with Bloodshy & Avant. I feel like I might like that one even though everyone else including Sky seems to hate it.
I haven't seen them, but I heard "Joy" was getting mixed reviews. Is anyone surprised? I'm not saying the following statement because I'm "a hater": My name is Lydia Deetz and I'm of sound mind when I say that I literally don't think Jennifer Lawrence will ever be critically-praised for a film again. In any case, have you watched "Bates Motel," yet? It's a billion times better than "Dexter." Watch this trailer and tell me it's not more intriguing and suspenseful than anything on "Godexter."
