IPB only allows avatars and cover photos to be stored on the server. If you compare it with what we have now as "Primary Avatars", the limit is jumping from 40kbs to 1mb. For now. As Athens indicated, there will hopefully be new solutions to the problem.

But I do agree it will be a less viable option, particularly if externally embedded avatars aren't allowed with whatever the solution is.

I hope we find a better option. Rotating avis I can perhaps live without but these 10-frame gifs and still images aren't the tea.

I read it rude sistren, some were freaking out in other thread about GIF avi's dissapearing, I came here and in that post says the size is not a problem because it was imoprted over a link, but malware is, so in the end, are GIF avi's gonna exist after this or not. That's what I was asking fyi.

Ok I'll just make a smaller (file size avi) The cool thing is you can make hd avi's aka make them 250x250 but you just have to keep the file size below 1mb
