That same trick will never work twice. She can't go back to dance pop and get back her cool factor at the same time. She's already lost all the mystery. People have figured her out.
So she'll have to let the music do the talking. And that's a problem. Her voice has become harsher and less GP friendly over the years. She needs a song that would be a smash hit no matter who sings it. Something like Crazy In Love. Everybody is looking for songs like that, and they're very rare. We know she is not capable of writing one herself. So it'll be very difficult for her to come back.

Not sure I would use Crazy in love as an example though. Maybe halo or irreplaceable
Adele really has taken the opportunities that gaga and xtina would have to comeback and focus on vocals and relatable music. GP has adele.
