No, I just wondered why you went from talking about US sales to WW sales. Stay on topic if you're in argument/debate.

It did. It sold almost 3M in the U.S. and U.K. alone. And if we follow your method, that means it would have sold 15,704,100 in just two countries alone in one year It would've been the biggest-selling digital single ever...with just two countries counted

We already said it's not the same for physical singles, in which a limit amount was produced, and most singles didn't even have physical singles. Therefore the overall pool was much smaller and songs naturally had bigger percentages, and there's much more margins of errors that don't exist with albums and digital singles, which don't have the same issues.

I don't think the sales disparity is a problem. Album sales were $15.99 during 2000 for a standard edition, which is now more than a deluxe album's price tag. We don't rank single sales based on whether they were 99 cents or $1.29 or discounted to $.69. Why would streams be held to a higher standard and their $.0001 disparity make them ineligible to be counted when albums aren't adjusted for price despite a gap thousands of times greater?

Because if Billboard/IFPI/Official Charts/etc says a stream worth $0.000001 shouldn't be worth the same SEA as a stream worth as much as $0.007 then it shouldn't. The whole point as I said is to measure the equivalent of an album revenue.

You get like 1 cent from 1,500 VEVO views, so in no way is 1,500 VEVO views similar to an album sale or 100M views similar to "67K albums" like you embarrassingly tried to say.

I mean to count VEVO views as sales.... how desperate does one get to support some crappy equivalent comparison.

And Billboard/IFPI/Soundscan/etc does have minimum prices. A song selling for 1/10th of a penny wouldn't count for sales on the charts or IFPI lists, which is why VEVO views do not count. Too low of a revenue determined by the sources.

It's funny how Fad and Britney's commercial success ended the same year (4 and 14 years into their careers respectively) yet Liddo Monsters are still grasping at straws to somehow make Gaga's six feet under career seem anyway comparable to Britney's.
