I'm reading this thread and I'm like When I was sixteen I knew that murdering and torturing people is bad and no one could brainwash me into thinking otherwise. I knew that terrorist organizations were bad. People who say that they were brainwashed to join a terrorist organization that kill people by promises of wealth and power actually make them look even worse.

I feel sorry for them, despite the fact that they were ready to kill and torture innocent people and only saw a light when the reality turned out to be the opposite of promises given to them.

It's sad that she was murdered but this girl wasn't an eight year old easily bribed with toys and treats, she was classed as an adult at that age in many places. She must have known right from wrong and so therefore it's difficult to sympathise with her.

If anything my thoughts go out to her family, they must have had an absolutely hellish year.

I can't at some of yall with your disgusting lack of sympathy. Why is it so hard for some of you to understand that teenagers and children are easily brainwashed. They aren't as mentally developed as you think. This happens a lot and yall know it does. But once it's related to ISIS somehow concepts of basic psychology are thrown out the window?

Sorry but why the f**k did they leave home to join a terrorist group. What did they think Isis did besides murder people? And don't they know Isis thinks nothing of women except to be used as sex slaves or to birth their terrorist children. She was 17 not 12, and yes I am versed in psychology. Indoctrination works on children as old as 14 and then rapidly decreases in effectiveness after that. The girl brought it on herself, I will have sympathy for the victims of ISIS rather than this girl.
