That's why they were panicking with unsure release dates and unsure singles, etc. And I can see they weren't confident in "Did It Again" doing anything else for the album.

i think that they chose the wrong single to market the album. i know im definately the minority on this, but i think shakira has a broad audience in general (rock/pop/ male/female latin, non-latin all ages) and she wolf didn't reach out to
THaT audience. she-wolf was both lyrically and styalistically different from her, and it ended up falling on some deaf ears. it was pure euro-pop and only females of a certain age(young) would relate to the lyrics in any way.
but im not criticizing her at all, i think it's commendable and neccessary for an artist to grow and experiment with their craft, but at the same time you need to have some knowledge of whats marketable, since at the end of the day sales
DO matter. i know if i wasn't as huge a fan of music/shakira in general, not only would i have never heard of she-wolf(i listen to rythmic radio) but if i did i wouldn't have bought the album. but luckily i heard all the tracks and everything else was lived up to the greatness i was expecting. so hopefully "give it to me" will be a bigger hit diversity wise and let people know "shakira" is back

Just my opinion
