It's on par with Catching Fire to me. The best blockbuster of this year, along with Mad Max.
I like how they did Prim's death, how the fact that she's gone hit Katniss loooong after she perished (which is what usually happens when smo close dies).

Sure JLaw was the star (& did a much better job than with part 1, in which I thought she was a mess) etc, but he's truly underappreciated. Gale, not so much.... Kinda like a wooden brick.
Certainly it deserves better reviews, or at least better than that flat catastrophy that was Age of Ultron (which is 74% fresh, like what?? That film was TERRIBLE and the characters were soooo one-dimensional
)
I'm sad the hype over SW and Jurassic Park overshadowed it. I hope Katniss will become a sort of an icon of this generation, girls all over the world deserve a well-structured, main female character.
My sister watched THG + CF but not Part 1 yet so my mom legit told her to last night, so that she could take me to see it to see it today. 
Hopefully it works out so I don't have to wait any longer.
I was instantly reminded of Cato. Finnick laughing at the bullet spraying pod and then when his picture came up when the capitol thought he was dead and his kindness towards Peeta during the whole mission made his death just that much more unbearable. 
, he took care of Katniss' family like he promised, spent so much time with each other and she brushes him off. Was it because of the genocide in District 2? In this case I can somewhat understand but it was all just too sudden and should have been done way differently. At least she looked gorgeous in that scene.
They should have killed Peeta instead. 
Oh and I thought Gale just left quietly, instead of Katniss just dismissing him like a cold heart bitch
