Why release a single for an album that is nowhere near completion? What label does that? Why release a lead single without an album , theres no concept set in play everything is all over the place. Roc Nation should have anticipated this and advise her.. like listen.. let FFS do its thing. Come back with a bigger single that will launch the album. Yet they dropped songs in hopes that they would stick (BBHMM, American Oxygen). As a label they are very lackluster and don't really know what they are doing. This is Rihanna's first time really managing herself so its almost like a blind leading the blind situation. The whole era So far just screams unprofessional. Nothing is thought out.

Has Rihanna ever finished an album before releasing the lead single? Unapologetic & TTT were finished 1-2 months after their lead single dropped and she was still under Def Jam at that time. So what's your point?
Then, I've already said it before, but maybe she released those singles to preview her new sound/direction and "feed the fans", just look at the way they were released.
IF the plan was to release the album in March (seems weird cause March was all about HOME) or in May, I guess she delayed the album cause she wasn't 100% comfortable with it. **** happens. I also think an album should be 100% finished before releasing the lead single but Rihanna has never done that (and it was never a problem so far), so idk why you're blaming Roc Nation for this.
Things are always more difficult when an artist has their own label and they control pretty much everything. Just look at Beyoncé. She had a whole blockbuster world tour in 2013 with no new music to perform, "Grown Woman" (apparently the lead single of her scrapped album) was featured in a Pepsi commercial, and "Standing on the Sun" in a H&M commercial. She had no deadline for her album. And she was way more silent about it than Rihanna is with ANTI now. At the end of the day, her album was a success. Two different situations, I know, but still similar. Truth is the GP doesn't give a **** about what's going on BTS. It's been 7 months since Rih's latest single came out, people are just waiting for new Rihanna music.
Just wait for the album rollout. What do you think Rihanna & her team have been doing since the album artwork reveal?
