I'm mad they changed the opening credits for season 2. The new opening takes away from how depressing and dark the show is. I hate it.

"The Leftovers" was dark and depressing (in Season 1). It's lighter now. It's not a basket of kittens, but it's definitely lighter. The director said he was suffering from depression during the first season. He's out of it now, hence the tone shift. It's a little more "supernatural-heavy" now, moreso than Season 1, which gives it that different tone. The new title sequence is trash, though.

On ep. 2 now. I love how they included more black characters this season (sorry, Vin).

Its lack of diversity in season 1 was a problem for me.

I like how "GIRLS" received criticism/backlash for having zero black characters and zero black extras. And then came back with one black extra, and one black guest star with a short appearance next season. Meanwhile, "The Leftovers" got some very light criticism over having little black characters, but then came back with an entirely new cast of main black characters next season. Poor Lena Dunham and her White privilege bubble.
