They just want her to bring fire again like she did 1998-2004 to justify openly loving her.
LBR, she's known for lip synching which most people don't care and she's known for less than stellar dance moves post breakdown than pre breakdown.
Her performance skills and one of a kind music is what justified lip synching and other things. She brought the charm, charisma, personality, the one of a kind pop songs, the fire and the dance moves.
She needs a song that isn't watered down for the moment (till the world ends) and can sit with her other one of kind classic songs that are just above her peers
(Baby one more time, Oops, Slave, Toxic, Piece of me, Break the ice, Stronger etc.)
The GP doesn't want to associate with her coming off lazy, uninspired and putting out watered down music because they want her to overcompensate with amazing performance, amazing music that's tier 1 and her undeniable charisma.
If she's able to do that era 9 and era 10 she will be openly embraced again.
For now, it's like a guilty pleasure for many.
There really is so much riding on this next era. Even with hits, she can't serve Till the world ends for Kesha or I I I wanna go o o down the basic lane for a basic hit tonight.
Tier 1 songs alongside Baby one more time, Oops, Stronger, Slave, Toxic, Piece of me, break the ice or she will continue to be a guilty pleasure

She is doing so well, last time I checked she was stiff and not into it but I'm shocked at her improvement. Happy for her 
They've been playing her music videos more often right now because they have a contest where they will send a lucky fan to her Vegas show. I watched the FFT and it wasn't so bad (but if you compare it to her prime, its really bad). Like she was kind of stiff but she still looks good on stage and still have a presence. And I really love her Trouble For Me performance
