Crap. Is MJ being released in the UK tomorrow as well? If so, it might mean that Alexandra is blocked from reaching number one on her first (real) single. On the other hand, I want the MJ single to do well. So it's Robbie vs. Alexandra vs. MJ!? It's too much.
But, happy to see Robbie passed Chipmunk!
True. I guess that it's just one of those songs you'd expect to smash, airplay or not. Most iTunes buyers would be pretty receptive to new MJ material, especially if it has promo on the front page. But we'll see soon enough I suppose.
Let's not overhype "This Is It". It could very much open with average sales. Especially since it has 0 airplay.
It just came out. I mean, a little snippet was released only a few hours ago. It hits digital retailers at midnight. I'm sure the song will leak in full a bit before before, come one, how can it have airplay if it hasn't been released? Besides, everyone's caught up in post Michael Jackson music. I'm pretty sure it'll sell at least 300k. 400k seems very probably, too.

Alexandra will be number one for sure. She owned Robbie on the X Factor
Michael's new song isn't being released digitally according to his website.
However, if it were to be released to iTunes and the other digital stores, it would be huge and sell something on the lines of 400k in the US only, no matter if it's good or not. Weren't you guys here during July and August, mostly?

Yea I know his sales were CRAZY. Maybe they'll wait and release it only when the soundtrack drops. Sorta like Beyonce did with Single Ladies.
The sales os this song would definitely be quantity over quality because this is not the best MJ song by a long shot.
And I'm not saying this is the best MJ's work, but nobody would/will care.
I'm in agreeance with you. It'll definitely be quantity over quality. They're gonna be milking him for some time to come now.
I just think it's all odd how everything is "This Is IT" now that he's dead. Im starting to believe he really did have this all planned out honestly. It's just totally spooky.
