I like "deep, obnoxious" Madonna on Noise and American Legend. It's the Kabbalist persona of Ray of Light that I don't identify with. I mean, musically, the singles are great, and so are THANTH, Has to Be and SFH, but that's about it for me. I like that having her daughter and discovering Kabbalah caused her to have this awakening, but a lot of it came off as forced to me. That Oprah interview was hard for me to sit through.
