Alive and Birds Set Free were both rightly rejected

I can see what Rick Rubin said when he didn't believe her on these records. Its like Adele said, they are perfectly nice pop records, but its just really not what 25 needed.

I LOVED the Rolling Stone interview, and I think the cover is gorgeous; it's just too similar to that one magazine cover Taylor Swift had come out a while back. It was VERY similar. But still... I loved it, and as much as I love Taylor, her cover made her look like a man. Adele looks gorgeous as always. I loved how open and honest she was in the interview; they asked more of the questions that we wanted instead of some random questions that no one cares about her responses to, which I feel like i-D did a few times (even though that was an amazing interview as well). I can't wait for the physical magazine to be released. And I'm glad that we got to hear her talk about the songs more.

So, basically, 25 is going to be a lot more pop than 21? It sounds like she's still doing relatively soulful music, but it's modernized. I hope that we still get some 21-esque stuff on the new record and that she still does a few entirely acoustic concerts, like the Tabernacle and Largo concerts. God, I'm so ready for this album! And she said "Remedy" made her cry when she wrote it, and Rolling Stone said it's like her own "Make You Feel My Love." Oh my God.... I'm so ready for this album!

yeah, no offense but Alive and the Birds are both so generic and filled with silly metaphors and cliches. the songs literally could've been sung by anyone with those ghastly, boring lyrics. lookat Hello's lyrics vs. those two song's lyrics. you can tell which one is the honest, genuine, raw song that belonged on the albbum

I think that Sia releasing an album full of rejected tracks wasn't a smart idea. If she released an more original and full of new tracks album like "1000 Forms of Fear", the stuff would be better.

"Alive" is a very average song, to be honest and "Bird Set Free" is a letdown.

"Hello" is hard to sing along and to memorize. I'm sure that we'll have other memorable singles like RITD and SFTTR during the 25 era.

also yeah hello is hard to sing to but I'm pretty close to memorizing thr lyrics

I like "Alive" and "Bird Set Free" A LOT, but I could never see Adele singing either song (especially "Bird Set Free"). They work better as Sia songs. I'm glad they were ultimately cut from 25.

As for "Hello," I've already learned the lyrics, bitches! (Sorry, just had to throw that one in there!)

And am I the only who thinks Adele DOES keep up with everything? Going by her interview, she seems very self aware and she had her answers regarding the media pitting her against other women, feminism, etc READY. So many celebs have gotten backlash for speaking on feminism because it felt self-serving but she made sure to talk about race and sexuality, etc. Not to mention she had a black male as her love interest in the video after Taylor got backlash for her Wildest Dreams video.

I think she's more up to date on everything than she lets on.
