Yes? The genre is Horror/Comedy. It's a satire/homage to 80's slasher films. Read the plot

Max, recently orphaned, goes to see a screening of a B-horror movie that her mother made 20 years earlier. When Max and her friends find themselves in the world of the film itself, they must apply their knowledge of horror tropes to survive.

It's not going to scare you, it's a lighter mood than TCITW. However the production value is incredible and the story is very smart and interesting.

I HATED cabin in the woods I even watched it twice to see if maybe I'd like it a bit more but no. Should I bother to watch this??

I decided to watch Cannibal Holocaust and holly ****. It was miles better the Green Inferno, though some of it was hard to watch The turtle scene legit almost made me throw up. I felt like I was watching p*rn half the time with all the full-frontal nudity.

The trouble with me and shock horror is that is that I can never tell if they're ****ing genius or trash. I've never seen Cannibal Holocaust but I've seen A Serbian Film and by the end of that one I was so conflicted. It was so DISGUSTING and difficult to get through but I also kinda get it? I dunno.

They're really quite different movies but I would say you should watch The Final Girls just for how well it's made; even if you don't like the movie, you'll appreciate the production value.

Cannibal Holocaust was very well made. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that I knew the animal deaths were real. (They actually killed animals on camera.) It keeps you on edge, and holds your attention very well.

It's not like Human Centipede 2 where it was disgusting and awful.

That was the worst scene, and I had to look away. Only time I've ever felt sick watching a horror movie.
And he was arrested / thrown in jail for the movie briefly, though for different reasons.

Or the two monkeys. Or the muskrat. Or the pig. Etc. This guy slaughtered so many animals for that film that it TRULY bothers me. I didn't even watch those scenes. Not interested in seeing dead animals

On a sidenote, most hypocritical movie of all time. It's literally criticizing sensationalism in media while being the most unnecessarily gratuitous for shock movie AND murders actual animals.

This BLEW past my expectations, I knew it was gonna slay but holy ****ing **** this is on the same level of TCITW type perfection even beat it in some areas

SO worth the wait and to see it in full Bluray quality, y'all some of the scenes are god damn visual masterpieces

I'm slain, take all my money, take the clothes off my back, take my first born, whew lord

The ONLY way this movie could've gotten better is if it was longer, they probably could've explored some more themes, but an R rating would've been completely unnecessary for the story they were presenting so I definitely don't feel like it lost anything by being PG-13

Not 2015 delivering two of the best horror films of all time, this and It Follows thank you GOD

THE FINAL GIRLS had that perfect balance of horror, comedy and heartwarming feels...

the scene where Bette Davis Eyes plays again for the last time made me teary....

EW! I have always been curious about Cannibal holocaust but after seeing the comments about the animal killings I will NOT watch it anymore. I really can't stand that especially knowing it actually happened. I've watched some parts on Youtube and it looks crazy but No thanks I cannot stand animal cruelty.




WAIT!!! paranormal activity is a limited release? i wonder why they doing that? Even tho the franchise has gone downhill I think they still could've made some decent money out of it(considering they're cheap af) so this decision is kinda surprising to me,.

nn my campus theater is playing it for free, which reminds me that is tonight but I probably won't go bc none of the very few friends I have like horror movies

YES AND YES I LOVED the fact that they used real emotion in the storyline and it was actually moving and not sappy. Ugh I can not wait to see it again

So the first review of the Martyrs remake is out and I'm not shocked it's a bad one. The whole idea is just pointless since it's apparently almost shot for shot.
