Not when the production sounds a bit like something I made when I was 12. The pre-chorus is good, but the chorus and the verses are terrible. There's plenty of artists with songs that display those "cutting edge" advancements in music, and this just isn't one of them.

Tbh it's not really though... People just say that. Hey QT is nice but it's just a sped up version of a generic synthpop song... Nothing they do is really "pushing the envelope" or "edgy", it's just their own brand of pop music. Just because they have a recognizable sound doesn't mean they are cutting edge...
