But the momentum bothers me. I'm sure Rih wanted to create something very special, to celebrate her new way on her own label, etc. That she would love her album to be appreciated. And when she releases, if all the media & public attention goes to Adele, it will be so vexing. Of course, if Rih has a plan to hype things up and bring the interest and attention back (as she did with artwork launch), "Anti" will reach all possible demographic it could reach (due to its sound). Otherwise, if she lets it flow on its own, it will possibly become just another "fans' album", retiring artists' business. Even if it's hella good, it won't be remembered, worse, it will be remembered as another "album just for fans from expiring artist", it won't be accepted as it deserves, it won't change anything. And I want some change. I'm fed up of some mainstream tendencies. I miss Rih as an artist so bad. I want her back.  |
