That means you will get five scores and five sets of comments each round! Your scores will be averaged and the two people with the lowest score get eliminated. (Well, in some of the rounds it will be only 1)

Will there be a leaderboard to see who got the highest score and who got the lowest score or will all of the scores be private?

There should be both. Story is more thought based and script is more dialogue based. I feel like I should just pick one and make you all do it the same way but idk

Yeah, maybe a mix of the two like writing out a summary of the whole ep but elaborating script-wise on 3-4 important scenes?

Script would pretty much be both, actually (having written a horror one before), since you still have to convey the entire story that a summary would. You do so through dialogue and action, but still. If you don't convey the story, then you kinda failed rule #1 of scriptwriting.

I'd say the biggest difference, besides formatting, is that stories tend to be more description based and are less limited in how they can convey information. Script is definitely the more dialogue based of the two, and is more limiting in how you convey info (for example, you can't get nearly as many internal monologues) It really comes down to a matter of writing style and what you're best suited for

If we are writing in script format, do you know how you would separate a character's dialogue from their thoughts in their head?

- If you use story method, you're going to have less dialogue and more thoughts. It would also be shorter.

- If you use script format, it's more dialogue based but it's longer and you get less introspection for the characters.

So there's advantages and disadvantages to them both. You can use either. Use what will help you in the round.

You never include thoughts in a character's head in script format. Ever.
If you really waned to, you'd write it as

CHARACTER NAME (V.O.)
*thoughts in head they'd say aloud*

So it would basically be a voice over. But overcoming this is one of the big challenges with scriptwriting, you have to be able to convey what a character is thinking/feeling through their actions and dialogue without actually saying it

Personally, if you're really only doing one of the two, I think script makes more sense (since AHS is a TV show and the actual episodes are written in script format) It's also pretty easy to find legally free script-formatting software online (CeltX)

Okay, I was under the impression that we could only write it in script format. Sorry for the confusion.
