The emptiness reminds me of the hotel in Barton Fink. What added to the creepiness in Barton Fink is that it was implied that a lot of people were there, yet you never saw them.

I am actually trying to make my mom watch it and she refuses to I made her watch GOT and now she literally always watches the episodes before me and trust me I watch them immediately on Monday after the premiere (cuz I live in Europe) and sometimes she has even watched it before me That means she went to a ******* site and downloaded it before me And we never spoil eachother stuff

Oh and my Grandma also watches GOT and she was actually more interested than Mom, in watching AHS too

When I go back to BG in a month I will definitely watch AHS with my mom

My sister tried watching season 1 with me like 3 years ago I think, but she didn't understand anything so she gave up. To be fair, it took me 4/5 episodes to really get into it and feel like I needed to keep watching to know how it'd end.

Hotel didn't "grab" me in EP1 and make me want to return for EP2 like Coven did. I think it was more smooth than Freakshow though.
