Katy needs 1-2 hits per era to maintain her image and status, in order to have big tours also. She's not a new 20-yr old artist who just started her career.
I don't know why she refuses to use more feats like Rihanna. All her songs featuring random rappers go #1 effortlessly, CG, E.T. and Dark Horse were all #1 without a video.
