If Katy wanted to have a theme for the era, a very simple, but possibly effective concept, could’ve been music videos in different natural environments.
For instance:
The forest concept as it stands.
The idea that the current video has but showing more desert and having her as a desert witch with no hydraulics and the magic stuff comes from a staff that she has not a head behind her
or
Tribal leader near a volcano or something and at the final chorus, an eruption or something happens
Wakes up in an empty, deserted city and spends the rest of the song trying to find someone to live with.
or
Her walking on a battlefield after being defeated by the enemy which has blonde hair and as she walks through the mist, people who appear defeated, rise and join her and beat the enemy
truly a wasted smash.
