I just find it absolutely bizarre that her label or Adele herself hasn't said anything about the most anticipated release of the century when the supposed release date is literally just over a month away.

I just don't get it. If they are waiting to announce it through a magazine, how many people is that magazine going to reach? Like 0.0001% of the people who bought 21. It doesn't make sense that they would give the exclusive to a magazine. Of course, other media outlets will report on it but it's not enough.

When was the promotion planned for? Was it for before the release date? Like a week leading up to it?

Well, this is Adele's way of doing things, we just got to deal with it. That magazine cover is the beginning. Itself it'll reach thousands of people but of course media will quote it and it will reach millions of people the day it comes out. That has to be within the next couple of weeks.
