When Taylor announced 1989 was going to be full pop everyone was like "she will lose her country fans!!1 she shouldn't have done this!!! she alienated her fanbase!11" and when 1989 was released everyone was like "it was such a safe move everyone knew she'd smash".
Good for You is the riskiest pop girl single of the year. Factual information. Shake It Off, Taylor's "risky pop single" is an Avril Lasagne outtake from The Best Damn Thing.

That's because many people, unreasonably, assumed that Taylor's country audience consists of older men who would be opposed to a pop album. That is not the case since her main fanbase are teenage girls and releasing a Max Martin album is catering exactly towards her main fan base. Especially considering she didn't go country -> pop she actually went country ->country pop(Red) -> pop.
I've loved Demon since Camp Rock but these Unconfident singles/snippets are NOT the tea she's been serving us hot GARBAGE for 2.5 years now and enough is ENOUGH! I hope she flops

This is a state of grace
This is the worthwhile fight
Love is a ruthless game
Unless you play it good and right
These are the hands of fate
You're my Achilles heel
This is the golden age of something good and right and real
