Her career isn't really all that different from Britney's, tbh. Both debuted at the end of the decade and slayed. Both of them lasted for about half a decade before they declined. Both had an injury that stopped them dead in their tracks. Both fell from public grace and released flop albums. This is the calm before Gaga's Circus era. She was very good. I went in expecting typical "strong badass woman " but she was actually more complex - intelligent and capable, while at the same time vulnerable. It was a nice mix, very believable and realistic.
