All numbers that look good on paper and no substance.
We R Who We R topped the chart for a week and didnt even last on pop radio. Blow wasnt even top 5 and had next to no presence on radio. Both from Cannibal which didnt even go Top 10 and whose sales were next to irrelevant. Besides, 3.5m isn't even that impressive if you want to talk about her as if she was an alpha pop star.
Kesha lives on in gay clubs thats for sure. But the fans definitely overrate her relevance/importance/etc. She was a big deal in 2010 because of Tik Tok. The success of her subsequent singles rode on that hype train created by Tik Tok. Which she never lived up again and continued to decline till she was non existent (which we all know was for a myriad of reasons but nevertheless).
I like Kesha so im not trying to be a hater, but idk I just dont agree with some ATRL perspectives on her success. Like some people on here hype her up and theres times when certain things make sense. But when it comes to her like "dominance" she was just never more than B list. However, it seems like white america really gave her a lot of importance. So i could imagine maybe Blow/We R Who We R getting more airplay in middle america and other states/cities that are predominantly white.
