Injection is also a thing and it is free. But your 3DS needs to have an older firmware

Its works on all firmware and on the new 3ds. All you need is a SD card. You have so many options like adding customs themes, emulators, playing region locked games and works with PKhex with a lot more options than injecting.
Everytime I try to understand that stuff I'm just like Frankly if Nintendo would just do on the 3DS what they did on the Wii-U (GBA games) they could have so many extra coins from me, I'm itching to play Fire Emblem, older Pokemons, FFTA, KHCOM, etc, on a handheld system again (doesn't feel the same on my computer), but they won't put them in the store :/
