I still fail to understand why she's considered the lead actress when she misses 5 episodes.

A PROPER lead actress:

Jessica Lange in AHS: Coven
Jessica Lange in AHS: Freak Show
Emma Roberts in Scream Queens

Note how much screentime they have, and note, that with the former two, Jessica was in all episodes, and Emma's likely to be in all 15 episodes of Scream Queens.

the only point you've had was the Lead actress bit. and it doesn't matter because the entire promo of the show, the co-stars, the creator, etc. all point to her being the biggest part of the show. it could go either way since it's an ensemble cast...but you knew that anyway
