Its just a bit unfair remembering the Janet album thread (before) remained opened with permissions and same sources from HDD upcoming releases and even the Tinashe - Joyride album thread (only the month of release as a source)..remains open, just because Adele is a much more higher profile artist (and very much anticipated), even the Alessia Cara album thread is not closed using a source only from HDD, and is yet to be confirmed by her label.
Exactly, Adele is a high profile release so it's really unnecessary to get a 100-page thread when we're still not 100% sure it's actually coming and is actually called 25. We still haven't heard a peep from her or her label. You can blame Billboard for this one, it would still be open if they hadn't posted their article.

If you send in a help request about a point reversal right before you get banned, is it possible for that point to still be reversed during the ban if mods think a reversal is warranted?

Yup, + others who make racist comments towards black artists or 'drag' them just because they are black. + the ones who constantly hate on or make fun of people who fight for equality - members included.
The point might be reversed. Although it'd have to be a pretty good reason to bring you back from a ban.
This came up before though, and it was stated that you would ALWAYS come back from a ban if the point that banned you was reversed. Has there been a policy change?
It would be pretty damn scummy to do it any other way. A mod could target a person and get them banned on a borderline post, and there would be no recourse.
There is no legit reason why this would be the case. I distinctly remember a member who was banned had this discussion with the mods after his 10th WP was repealed, but the mods forgot to unban him. He brought it up after his ban fell off.
They then stated that it was a mistake, and that he should have been unbanned.
