I luv avatars where they drag stars for being flops, not relevant, not having certified hits, etc. Although, I can see why someone thinks dragging personal issues is too much too.

They misewell let the avatar slide tho. If they take it down, then people will just use that as an opportunity to protest 20 other avatars until the mods have to make yet more rules. I'm sure people will switch avatars in a week anyways, and if someone wants to be known as the poster wearing an avatar making fun of illnesses then I guess that just is on them.

On another note, in my years on ATRL I've never figured this out and I don't think I've seen anyone else ask, either. Why are some threads bold and some not? I've noticed that some go unbolded after you enter them, but at the same time there are threads I've never entered that are already not bold.

Threads titles unbold after you've clicked on it. It will go bold again when there's a new reply.

Methinks thread titles automatically unbold after a certain amount of time has passed, too.

Not in HQ, no. I did post it in that Worst Avis on ATRL thread, alongside the Gaga one, and roll my eyes very hard at both. By the time I'd come to HQ to discuss the Gaga avi, no one was using the Britney one and it was deleted. I don't keep up with SYG, nor am I interested in the petty stan politics that dominates it. If it were being used when I came here to express how gross the Gaga one is, I'd have included it in my post, but that wasn't the case. It was already gone, which would render anything I could have said on the matter a waste of time and energy.

Nothing hypocritical about it. What prompted me to bring up that avi here was when I saw the Britney Spears fan who made it convince other fan bases that they too should use it.

We have moderated signatures and avatars that contain graphic/offensive/insensitive imagery and we will continue to do so, don't worry about that.

However, when it comes to simple flamebait avatars, for example, we don't warn those because we feel like, technically, they don't derail a conversation. They don't (or shouldn't) interfere directly with a discussion.
