The point is that if the same event was made in another country, Beyonce wouldn't be referenced. You know in other countries she's barely known with a few fans here and there.

Single ladies is a perfect example, her biggest hit, yet how many markets did it top? BOMT topped the entire planet or chart available in the 90's.

SL video was released in 2009 and vevo also launched in 2009 (yt started long before that too). BOMT was released 10 years prior and not even in the digital age, so SL has that to it's advantage.

Were any of you all alive or even walking and talking when BOMT was out. Everyone was talking about that video and Britney by word of mouth and MTV alone. That didn't have the support it does of social media as Single Ladies did. I like Beyoncé way more than I like Britney but this one has to go to BOMT. She basically created the ****ty school girl look. I'm not saying Single Ladies isn't iconic either because it is as well but of course it seems like Single Ladies is because of how far social media has come during it's time. And to compare video adds with view counts makes no sense because Single Ladies came out when YouTube was big. I mean....
