I don't care about rips or m4a's or whatever. I bought the m4a and it sounds great.

In other news, although this album was described as more Born to Die-ish, it definitely feels like more of an extension of Ultraviolence. Maybe the rest of the record will better reflect the Born to Die aspects.

Like in Born to Die (Summertime Sadness, Dark Paradise, Radio), she seemed to sing in a higher register. I don't know if her voice has changed from smoking or if she just likes it better, but Ultraviolence and what we've heard from Honeymoon is all sung in a very low, almost monotone register.

The hip hop elements from BTD are present though. Freak and HBTB both have them and more songs on the album likely have them too.

True, they're just much more toned down than on Born to Die

Whatever happened to the rumour about UO releasing this tomorrow? It doesn't say so on the website.
Anyway i'm guessing we'll probably get this on the 16th like with Ultraviolence and the whole thing of German stores selling it early. That was some mess , these fans and their "i'm not leaking it" "I support Lana so i won't Leak it" , hopefully we won't have to endure hours of that again

It doesn't work this way anymore. Last year, the US release date was Tuesday, Germany Friday. Now all releases are Fridays worldwide.
German record stores can't sell the record earlier. It has a code that provides it from being sold too early.

Omg,my meltdown, i knew that release date change would mess things up
I guess our only hope is NZ on the 17nth or something, either way though i guess i'm fine with the 18nth too but i always loved being on Atrl and enjoying the meltdowns with leaks

 100%

i remember people saying the music is "nothing like UV" sure, it's a little different, but i truly believe it started out as an extension of UV. as in, HM was to UV as P was to BTD. and then the "Honeymoon Edition," let's say, got longer and it became its own body of work. still very UV to me

sure, the "beats" make it "similar" to BTD, but not even really. this album is NOTHING like BTD.

and i feel like the chorus is going to be something like this

'Baby, if you wanna leave
Come to California
Be a freak like me, too

[Slight variation of the
above part, with the
same rhythm]

Cuz your halo's full of fire
Love's full of fire
Your love's full of fire
And it's taking me higher

Baby, if you wanna leave
Come to California
Be a freak like me, like like me'

what do y'all think?

I gotta agree. It is leaning more towards UV than BTD. But it is really perfect the way it is.
