Trap Queen has long since lost most of its sales and airplay support. I agree streaming is an important part of the Hot 100. However, the song is now getting 3/4 of its points in streaming to stay almost six months in the Top Ten.
TQ barely made the Top Ten at all in Airplay, and it has somewhat solid but far from spectacular download sales of 2.25-2.3 million to date. I'm really pulling for TQ to reach at least 3 million downloads to save face for Billboard, because that's the bare bones minimum sales amount even now for any song with this type of longevity in the Top Ten.
This shows something is wrong. I won't elaborate any further, as I put together a thread for that. But TQ needs to drop to at least #11 next week, stay out of the Top Ten from here on out, and pick up some in download sales to even out its credentials. At least Sugar has sold over 3 million and is still Top 25 in airplay on HRS and AI, and even with that it's still on the ODS and ST50.
it's still great, but it's slightly overstayed it's welcome by now
