Asylum had Lana and Kit trying to escape the Asylum.
An Alien-story going on, Dr Ardens Nazi past being brought up again by Anne Frank joining the season, him experimenting on humans, zombies, Sister Mary-Eunice being posessed and doing dark stuff, Sister Jude being in love with the Monsignore and having plans,
Kits his black girlfriend coming back, etc
That's just as messy as FS. Imo.
Of course you could say that Asylum was mainly about Kit and Lana trying to escape and the other plots being side-plots, but the same could be said about Freak Shows main-plot being Elsa trying to become famous and witnessing if one of the last freak shows manages to last or goes down, + side plots.
I'm just trying to say that every season is a mess and that we shouldn't be too negative towards Hotel.
