Most young black people aren't familar with Madonna's old songs whereas Time After Time, True Colours and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun are universally known songs. It's amazing how many classics Cyndi racked up in her short career.

Besides, why is "young black people" suddenly the standard for what is remembered or not? Latinos are more of the percentage of the American population and none of you care what we think

. But in America white people always dictate what is culturally remembered or not. Mainstream is synonymous with white, that's just the way it is.
