Britney is a legend and Beyonce is not and never will be, she might be considered an icon one day though.
I don't know why you'd even compare them when one sold more with one album than the other did with all of their albums, they're in completely different leagues

But how does that translate into DC/Bey being irrelevant? That's what I was responding to. Britney was outselling everybody back then. Oops outsold Invincible, does that mean Michael Jackson was irrelevant?

She was the most popular solo act of her time of course she outsold DC.

And in The Zone actually only sold 8 million worldwide and Dangerous in Love sold 10 million, so how did it sell 7 million outside the states

I agree. I may not like Britney that much but she's clearly a legend. She made huge impact and influenced others. Beyoncé did the same with DC3 and DC3 impacted other girls groups. She also influence many other acts as an solo artist.

Mature or not, I don't respect the opinion of anyone that doesn't understand the deep impact certain key people had in shaping modern music. Britney has impacted the industry in a way Beyonce could only dream of.

The fact that all up-and-coming artists (including R&B acts like Tinashe) cite Britney as one of their biggest inspirations says everything.

DIL actually sold 10 million. I think soundscan posted updated numbers for 2015 and it's at 10 million
