I can understand you defend Mariah so hard and hate Madonna even harder, but critics, at least, gave us a general idea of how an artist is considered in the music world.
You said Mariah is better songwriter than Madonna, and the last one is the only who has been considered for the songwriters hall of fame twice. Mariah, cero.
You said Madonna is not respected by the people, and yet Madonna is selling out her tour all around the world because people is hungry for see her, because their love her and respect her.
And so it goes.
Mariah is better vocalist, that's all.

Madonna's discography is better than Mariah. But Mariah's is miles above all the "vocalists" in terms of the quality control of each of her records. Mariah is a better singer but when you think about it, Madonna's best work rely on a sort of story telling, that is told convincingly, no matter if it's dance song or a more introspective musical approach. A more powerful voice would have not "enhance" what she's created!
They both had the qualities that worked for them the best and revolutionized pop music. I feel Madonna was an impressive overall experience (that is, before two of her three last albums) and Mariah, a vocal and, at times, poetical entity.
All in all, they should not be reproached for having different qualities and advantages over one another. Because if you would be to change anything, to the two of them, they would crumble.So, let's celebrate them before it's too late because we're never getting female pop stars as out of this world as these two, anytime soon.

You're the one who brought up BMI now you are discrediting them
Madonna was nominated but she doesn't have an award from them, still impressive but SHOF is a bit late with their inductions, the best songwriter in Pop music history has yet to be nominated so no.
She has written lots of songs solo, I.E. LYRICS, which is one part of songwriting. There's levels to this ****.

Sorry, but no. Mariah is defnitely the better lyricist and singer. But Madonna is the better performer and she's far more interesting visually and thematically.
Mer Girl are Madonna's best lyrics. The Power of Goodbye is pretty great too.

Mariah is not the best songwriter in Pop history and she'll probably never get in or get a nomination she is not even acclaimed.Being an inductee is the biggest honor and being a nominee is the 2nd biggest honor.Don't try to belittle Madonna's nomination.

I don't think she's the best songwriter in Pop music history, most underrated yes but I was not referring to her in that post  I said it is still impressive, so I don't see how that is belittling her nomination in saying they are a bit late with other artists that are just as and more deserving.
