We all have artists we simply dislike with passion. Not a secret, I can not stand Gaga and the majority of her stans (not all of them though).
Every stanbase has artists they dislike. What is prominent towards the LM is that they hate on quite a few other female artists on here, more than any other stanbase and for different reasons. Go to several threads or SYG and you will find your answers. No other fanbase has such a strong dislike for others and the need to come for them like they have.
The reaction they get is that posters from other stanbases will turn against them.

I've noticed *some* little monsters are always the first to call other artists a "flop" or "over", it's interesting.
It's MAINLY because of the Teenage Dream era. Katy getting all her singles to #1 at the same time as Gaga was under-performing. Lady Gaga's fans at the time thought she would be the one getting every single to #1, so I think it was mainly due to jealousy. Her fans were really horrible at the time, having melt-downs every time she discounted, calling her songs "basic" (even though Gaga's songs are "basic" too).
Things have changed in the past few years, Gaga's fans are a lot more humble and rational than they used to be, but I remember 2011, they were really bitter about Katy's success. Especially when Katy's 4th single came after Born This Way and quickly eclipsed it.
Remixes weren't looked down upon by pop music fans, until Gaga fans went on about it as if it's "cheating" just because Katy did a few. Before then people could do remixes all the time and nobody cared, or even noticed.

The same can be said Monsters: They do these threads because a Barbz tried it with their fav to begin with.
I guess I'm just stating what I've seen so far with the Monsters. But if the barbz were like that then this thread would be about them, not the monsters

Where did I say they started it though? I just said they go one step above in the trolling department. Overall fanbases fight all the time so its never that serious

I actually think this is what triggered it too. Katy had the commercial success that everyone was expecting from Gaga. Smash hit single after smash hit single. The 'Part of Me' documentary only cemented that with the whole "Michael Jackson is the only other person to have ever done this!" thing.

Actually, I sided with Monsters when I joined because I was following ATRL since 2011 before I joined.
I never liked Gaga, but I pretented to and to simply cool down some tendencies, but with zero success. And then I started to simply post what I REALLY think about her.
Monsters for instance were trolling Lana threads since 2011. And then they have the nerve to blame others.
Not really? Well not for the barbz, they just defend their fave. I know a lot of barbz who love Gaga (like me) but the monsters on this site make it hard to stan her

Why do people here care so much about who we stan for/dislike? I mean I rarely/never see anyone questioning medonsters or Lana or Britney stans stanning for Katy....?
