White Horse is the only strong ballad my album needs. Last Kiss is my favorite Taylor ballad, but it doesn't fit into my album. I had to make it a bonus track.

All Too Well can be a charity single, like Ronan. Trouble relates to the theme more.

And Tell Me Why is superior to Picture to Burn when it comes to her spiteful songs.

When the reviews for 1989 were surfacing, before we had heard the songs, I honestly thought I Wish You Would was going to be a bitter, tongue-in-cheek diss track. It should've honestly been "I Wish A Bitch Would"

This album is so distant, I don't get why Tay says it's her favorite. AYHTDWS is literally based on a dream, HYGTG is some random ass "instruction manual" that would never actually win a girl over in real life, and YAIL is about Lena Dunham. Enough said.

1989 is full of great, refined songwriting and showcases Taylor's natural ability to create memorable hooks with smart lyrics. Speak Now's wordy-ass essays and RED's schizophrenic nature literally could never.
