Yeah the backlash she got then was massive. I think only Bieber and Gaga had more backlash than her this decade. She is slowly getting some people back now. For example Only, Truffle Butter and Feeling Myself were all well recieved by her core audience. In 2012 my urban and rhythmic stations would never play her urban music at all but now her urban music is on heavy rotation daily

Nah, her home country, the UK, Ireland, and a number of other countries still support her. Even if the US is petty enough to drop her, she'll just revert her attention back to other territories like she did before Fancy. And fancy was far from local

Psy isnt a joke especially not in his home country, Flo Rida is not a joke either, Pitbull is not a joke, and iggy may not be the best rapper but she's trying her hardest and she has improved (even you can clearly see that). Iggy has already stated she doesnt care what you label her music as and that she just wants to rap, so i think you can stop being so insecure about "Queen of Rap" title your fave has and just enjoy the time nicki has left

I think what bothers people is that media completely tried to erase what Nicki, Missy, Kim, Eve and ect did when Igloo came. I remember a ton of white media was acting as if igloo was the first to do it and people who enjoy hip hop know that igloo isnt even a hip hop artist, shes a rapper but not a hip hop artists, and thats what ticks people off


Also the fact Igloo got rewarded for doing D- worl at nest when other chicks have A+ work and theyre completely ignore

I have no idea where you are from but Flo Rida, Igloo, Pitbull and Psy are all seen as a joke... especially by the hip hop/urban community and they refuse to play their music


Dont act like Nicki is about to dissapear. People said the same after Starships and here we are 3 years later and she has as many top 10 hits as Gaga and Katy

Iggy is the bottom of the barrel and wins at nothing, but Nicki stans really shouldn't be acting all high and mighty either. Acting like she's "THE QUEEN OF RAP" when the overwhelming majority of her commercial success comes from making whitewashed pop music with some rap verses thrown in to make it seem more legit.

The fact that she has an entire "pop section" of her tour setlist really shows how legit she really is.

Nicki doing so many features kinda devalues her in my opinion. It doesn't seem like a hard thing to get her on a song. It should be extremely difficult to get someone of Nicki's stature on a song. She should be working with more Beyoncés than Marios, if that makes sense. I respect her hustle, though. She wants to keep herself out there in any way she can.
