Nearly three months after I publicly called on Heigl and ex-boss Shonda Rhimes to bury the hatchet and give fans (read: me) closure to the Alex-Izzie love story, I decided to deliver my campaign message to Rhimes face-to-face Wednesday night at ABC’s Television Critics Association press tour-themed bash at the Beverly Hilton.

But a mere three seconds into my pitch — for the record I was proposing a one- or two-episode comeback stint — Rhimes shut me down. Hard.

“No,” she interjected, shaking her head and leaving little room for me to wiggle. “I’m done with that story. I’ve turned that idea over in my mind a thousand times and thought about how it would go. And I don’t think so.”

Eh, Grey's is almost for certain done now that Derek has been killed on screen and murdered by that women's pen. This will either be the season to the end the show or next season will be the last, they can at least give us most of the original cast for that last season before the show ends. I want to know what they have been up to.

This Shonda girl can't seem to separate her personal conflicts from her professional work. Isn't this why she fired Dempsey? Literally killing her own show , of questionable intelligence she is

mte! I mean, she let Isaiah Washington come back (who was fired for homophobic slur) but is so stubborn when it's about Katherine? It happened years ago! Despite what happened between them, it wouldn't be bad at all to let her come back for like one or a few episodes to come back. After killing Patrick's character and Sarah Oh's leaving it wouldn't be bad for old fans to see an old character again.

IA. It would good for the show if she let an old character to come back, even as a series regular. Although I really hated how Izzy behaved at the end of her storyline. She could also bring back Addison.
