I just remember that one performance from the 90s where Mariah was battling some stuff with her voice and Aretha kept trying to thrust out Mimi to sing these big solos for her and Mimi was NOT having it. I wish I could more distinctly remember the Titanic phenomenon. No movie will come as close to being a pure pop culture emblem. Those type of films are over. Everything else now is inflated by 3D prices. Titanic is there because of pure ticket sales. People kept going to see it over and over throughout an entire year.
