The only things that hurt FF ticket sales were Britney herself. She looked bored most of the time before the tour started. The promo performances for FF made everything worse.

It could be a number of things, breakdowns don't usually happen because of one single thing, but it probably was a factor.
But we'll probably never know since her team shelters her so much tbh.

Circus tour >>>>>> FFT tour

Most of the time on the FFT tour Britney seemed to be too bored to even remember where she was. And in retrospect her dancing was much better during the former, and she had more energy by far. Facial expressions included.

The circus tour costumes and production also slayed FFT in seconds. I saw them both live and enjoyed them both but Circus was the superior show.

Let's not act like critics dragged Britney for the Circus tour. Most critics have always praised her (even when she is obviously lip-syncing), it's her fans that drag her the most
