Sidenote: kinda reveals a lot about you if success means enough to you to make a drag out of it.
If your faves are not that successful then it's only convenient that success isn't a top priority.
Fortunately my fave has 17 year catalog that is only surpassed by 5 other females in music history.

I get what you're saying, R&B nowadays doesn't have the soul it had in the 90s, instead we have mustard beat and basically generic computer sounds artists like Chris Brown generate in the name of R&B.
I still love them but D'Angelo and Maxwell just take me places.
And none of those except Usher when he tries, make really good R&B music as they once did, they don't have the consistency of Maxwell and D'Angelo.

I loved that James Joint interlude she did, she really did well with it and I hope she continues experimenting with that sound.
It's a pity Walrus destroyed Loveeeeee Song parts for me but I still use Rih's parts.
