Everyone enjoys a good pop song, there's obviously nothing wrong about it, but for gays, it seems like they actively go out of their way to ONLY use generic pop by females. Why is this? What's so unappealing about other genres and male voices? I legit want to know
Not all gays are obsessed with generic pop girls. ATRL gives that impression because it happens to be the place where all gays who are obsessed with generic pop girls flock to.

Tbh because of sexism in the industry, in order to stay relevant pop girls HAVE to go out of their way to stay "interesting" and all, otherwise they'll flop. This is the only case where it's a good thing because it makes our faves that much more fun to stan for
Most the world gay or not are into generic pop though. It looks like gays flock to it because they're a much smaller percentage of people to begin with. I'm not saying there's not truth to the statement. Gays are the most hardcore fans of pretty much every generic pop girl you can think of and that only amplifies the effect. Very few straight males are comfortable enough to do the same
Because most male artists talk about women in their songs. Don't you think that would be unappealing to gay guys?
I guess it makes sense, but why not use other female genres? It's almost exclusively female pop. I'm not trolling, I'm gay and use pop extensively, but to use ONLY female pop and nothing else at all seems...weird?
Idk, but I see more male artist defending Gays now a days than Pop Girls.
Yes! When marriage was legalized in the US a lot of the bands I follow showed support (Fall Out Boy, Sum 41, O.A.R., Of Monsters and Men and many others). From the pop girls I think only Kesha did.
