"Magic Man" was the second single taken from the band's 1975 debut album, Dreamboat Annie. Lyrically, it deals with being seduced by an older man, which may explain why I like it so much.
What the GP had to say:
Explaining her 11, Latinazza said, "Absolute perfection. I was torn between giving my 11 to either this or Don't Get Me Wrong, but I related to these lyrics in some weird way. I would have been such a rock groupie if I had existed in the 1970s."
Taken from 1982's Mirage (an underrated record, may I add), "Hold Me" was the first single from the album. Despite not being successful in the UK, the song went on to become one of the band's biggest hits, peaking at #4 for seven consecutive weeks.
What the GP had to say:
conseeded had this to say: "This reminds me of a song you'd hear at a supermarket." I can't tell if this is meant to be a drag or not, as whenever I go to my local supermarket, it only plays quality music like Leona Lewis. I'm not really sure what you're getting at here, so... At least Buyonce1814 had something nice to say: "This song kind of proves that Stevie as a lead >>>, to be honest. It's very cheesy but I can't help but bop along." Wow, that almost makes me forget that you only gave it a 5.
