I'm super shocked that no one ever topped him in 2010-2012 but yeah, his numbers will forever be beyond impressive.

He'll always have that to his name now, but I'm curious to see if the record will even matter 10+ years down the line. It will be interesting to see how relevant/irrelevant digital sales become post-2015.

Watch Me Whip (Nae Nae) and Bad Blood remix are the best songs in the T10.

I literally lol'd when I first heard Freedom... it's like hideously awful. There are 0 redeeming qualities about it.

It just flopped to hell & back and deservedly so. I completely agree that Pharrell has become a self-indulgent cornball since his trio of huge smashes in 2013-14.

He needs to drop the funk/minimalist/retro thing ASAP and move towards the more urban/beat-heavy productions that I preferred from him a la Snoop's Drop It Like It's Hot & Ludacris' Money Maker. IDK he seems allergic to bass right now or something lol.

Very unlikely in it's first week, maybe down the road it can build up sales, streaming, and airplay to reach the Top 10. Gomez debuted at #9 with more than twice the downloads.

Yes. Billboard's next chart will run Monday through Sunday (Airplay Wednesday-Tuesday). Then BB will have a shortened period chart that comes out the following week, which runs Monday-Thursday (Airplay Wednesday-Monday. At that point, I'm sure Kworb will switch his reporting week.

And I wouldn't count Iggy out yet. She's got time to turn things around, but she does admittedly need to make some changes.
